IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme)
Read more about the specific approach to this course:
I cover all key themes such as populations in transition, climate change, global resource consumption, hazards and disasters, and urban environments, along with HL extension topics like global interactions. Sessions emphasize clarity in using geographic terminology, strong command of case studies, and preparation for Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3 (HL).
I also provide structured essay-writing support to help students craft high-level responses that integrate evidence, analysis, and evaluation. We focus on building the skills needed to access top bands, including argument structure, synthesis of information, and application of real-world examples. I help students develop critical thinking and evaluation techniques that are essential for achieving Level 6 and 7 outcomes.
In addition, I teach effective revision strategies—such as active recall, spaced repetition, and concept mapping—to promote long-term understanding and memory retention. I prioritize conceptual clarity and help students make connections across units, which is particularly valuable for Paper 3’s synoptic questions. Whether preparing for the Internal Assessment or aiming to elevate exam performance, my goal is to help students become confident, independent geographers.
With the updated syllabus launching for first assessment in 2026, I provide up-to-date, curriculum-aligned tutoring for both SL and HL students. ESS presents a unique challenge: students must integrate scientific understanding with ethical, social, and political perspectives.
I help students navigate this complexity with clarity—building confidence in systems thinking, environmental modeling, and interdisciplinary analysis across key topics such as ecosystem functioning, climate change, biodiversity, resource management, and global sustainability.

I incorporate proven revision strategies such as spaced repetition, retrieval practice, and concept interlinking to help students retain content and deepen understanding. My approach goes beyond exam preparation: I aim to help students develop a systems-based mindset and analytical toolkit that supports long-term academic growth and real-world environmental literacy.
IGCSE (Cambridge International)
Students often find it difficult to write high-quality responses to “describe” and “explain” questions. I teach strategies for maximizing marks through precise language, structured answers, and smart use of command terms. I also offer step-by-step guidance on how to approach longer essay-style questions using detailed, exam-ready case studies.
If a student is taking the coursework option, I can support with project planning, data collection methods, and write-up techniques. For those sitting the Alternative to Coursework paper (Paper 4), I provide exam-specific training to build confidence in interpreting unfamiliar fieldwork scenarios and applying geographic understanding effectively under time pressure.
This course requires students to think critically and globally—skills that aren’t always intuitive at this age. I support students in developing robust research strategies, structuring arguments, and analyzing different perspectives on issues like poverty, climate change, migration, and human rights.
I guide students through the Individual Report and Team Project components, helping them manage their time, cite sources correctly, and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively. My goal is to help students not just meet the assessment objectives, but also become more confident, reflective thinkers.
CAIE A-Level Geography (9696)
In-depth support for all Paper 1–4 content areas, including physical landscapes, population, settlement, and advanced global themes. Focus on structured essay writing and data response strategies.
GCSE Geography (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Eduqas)
These courses challenge students to connect physical and human geography through real-world issues like climate change, urbanization, and global development. I help students build strong foundational knowledge, geographical skills, and case study depth—tailored to their specific exam board.
Lessons focus on mastering command words, structuring extended responses, interpreting data and maps, and applying theory to case studies. Whether it’s preparing for Paper 1 (Physical Geography), Paper 2 (Human Geography), or fieldwork-based assessments, I ensure students develop the clarity and confidence to perform under exam conditions.
A-Level Geography (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Eduqas)
At this level, students are expected to think critically, synthesize complex ideas, and write extended analytical essays. I support students across all major UK exam boards by deepening their understanding of key topics like coastal systems, global governance, resource management, and tectonic hazards—always aligned with their syllabus.
I provide structured guidance on exam technique, independent investigation (NEA coursework), and how to use case studies effectively in evaluation. Sessions are designed to build both academic rigour and a sense of curiosity, helping students succeed in exams while developing as thoughtful geographers.
